The company
Lucky Bike.de GmbH is one of the largest bicycle retailers in Germany. With over 40 locations and an excellent online store, the retailer offers more than 150,000 branded bikes on 130,000 square meters – including advice, service and test tracks. Founded in Leipzig in 1994, the company now employs around 1,300 people. Headquartered in Bielefeld, the bicycle retailer is pursuing the goal of complete climate neutrality and has received several awards for its sustainability strategy and customer service.

Implementation
The Adbike campaign for Lucky Bike was successfully implemented between February and July and inspired cyclists throughout Germany. In 10 cities, a total of 1,275 bikes were fitted with specially designed advertising spaces that put the company and its offers in the spotlight.

The campaign motif for Lucky Bike’s 30th anniversary, “We love bikes”, conveyed a strong brand identity and celebrated the company’s long tradition. In addition, the “Lease your dream bike” motif emphasized the option of leasing a bike, which appealed particularly to environmentally conscious and flexible customers. The targeted approach through the moving advertising spaces enabled high visibility and a direct connection to potential customers interested in bicycles and sustainable mobility solutions.

 

Results
A total of 205,225 rentals were registered over the course of the entire campaign. The branded bikes covered an impressive distance of 389,927 kilometers, the equivalent of six trips around the world. Particularly noteworthy is the saving of 72 tons of CO2, which illustrates the growing focus of consumers on sustainability.
