Participants of the “Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final” ride through Frankfurt free of charge

As part of the “Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final” (30.10.-05.11.2023) in Frankfurt, participants were able to use bikes from Nextbike, the European bike-sharing market leader (www.nextbike.net), free of charge via a voucher code. This enabled participants and event contributors to get from A to B within Frankfurt quickly and in a climate-friendly way during the week-long event. Adbike, the bicycle advertising division of the European bike sharing market leader Nextbike by Tier, designed and placed 500 bicycles with the appropriate motif in the Hessian capital.

The world-renowned street dance event “Red Bull Dance Your Style” brings together the most creative and best dance talents in the world to compete against each other in an exciting knockout system. The special thing about the battle format is that the dancers perform spontaneously to mainstream hits and therefore have to break out of their comfort zone. Instead of a jury, the audience decides who wins the duel and ultimately the competition. The organizer of the largest international street dance competition is Red Bull GmbH, manufacturer of the energy drink of the same name.

Added value for participants

As a goodie for the dance talents, event participants and employees of the nearby hotels where numerous participants and visitors stayed during the event week, virtual rental and return stations were set up at the event location and the hotels and equipped with Nextbike bikes. There were also Red Bull flyers with a voucher code: This allowed contributors to use the bike-sharing service free of charge for 60 minutes every day that week. In the period from 14.09.2023 to 05.11.2023, the 500 bikes were used on almost 9,000 journeys and covered almost 17,000 kilometers. This resulted in CO2 savings of three tons. Most rentals and returns took place at Frankfurt Central Station.

To be seen everywhere

By providing the bikes, Red Bull Dance Your Style has delivered real added value for its event participants and increased the already high visibility of the event even further thanks to the designed bikes. “Bikes are a suitable tool for combining added value and visibility, and not just for companies whose brands are associated with sport and fun,” says Jan Gewinner, Head of Business Development Media & Services and responsible for the bike advertising division at Nextbike.
