Sustainable mobility and innovative advertising solutions combined

Leipzig, February 25, 2025 +++ nextbike.media, the brand for vehicle advertising from nextbike (www.nextbike-media.com), and Germany’s leading car-sharing provider MILES (www.miles-mobility.com) are providing new impetus for advertising opportunities in the sharing economy. Through their partnership, they now offer advertisers extended opportunities to reach their target groups on mobile advertising media. MILES and the European bike sharing market leader nextbike share a vision: to drive forward the transport revolution and promote sustainable mobility.

New advertising opportunities in urban areas
With advertising space on MILES vans and cars, nextbike.media is adding around 20,000 mobile advertising media to its portfolio – in addition to the approximately 76,000 bicycles, e-bikes and e-scooters. Advertising media bookings on MILES vehicles are available in 12 cities in Germany. Advertising customers can choose between different formats, such as rear and side panels. Bookings can be made immediately – with a lead time of six weeks for production and installation and a campaign duration of three months or more.

Jan Gewinner, Head of Key Account & Agency Management at nextbike GmbH, explains: “With MILES, we have found a strong partner who shares the sharing philosophy of the nextbike family: The idea of making resources more efficient through shared use plays a central role in a sustainable future. Together, we are now not only making sustainable mobility more visible, but also making the means of transportation accessible to advertisers.”

Leonard Meier, Head of Business Development at MILES, explains the benefits as follows: “MILES vehicles are constantly on the move and travel through highly frequented areas. This means maximum visibility for advertisers. By marketing advertising space, we create an additional source of revenue that flows into the expansion of our offering.”

Potential beyond van advertising spaces
Jan Gewinner looks to the future with confidence: “Our common goal is to establish the sharing economy as an integral part of the transportation transition and to offer sustainable advertising solutions that enrich the cityscape.” With their partnership, nextbike.media and MILES are setting an example for innovative, environmentally friendly mobility and marketing concepts – a win-win situation for the sharing economy and the urban advertising world. The advertising revenue will flow directly into the systems of both partners, which will provide sustainable support for fleet operations and innovation.
